Not all whiskies should be poured the same. Whiskies that are barrel proof, or simply unfiltered, might have heavy molecules that hang at the bottom of the bottle. By “whisping” the bottle, we can make sure the flavour is evenly distributed so the whisky tastes consistent from first pour to the last pour.
