You’re Now Reading WHSKY.BUZZ

TL;DR markbylok.com has flipped to whsky.buzz to include writers besides myself. This website will grow with its content, and that content is focused on whisky culture, reviews, and news. @whiskybook (that carried of a feed of these postings) has likewise been named @whiskybuzz

With the success of The Whisky Topic, the next step is to move forward with a website that includes writers besides myself. Jamie Johnson, co-host on the podcast, will play an active role here as well.

As with any new website, the theme will grow over time, but ideally this is intended to be a main source of relevant information for whisky drinkers.

Why the name whsky.buzz? It’s whisk(e)y without the core vowel(s)! whskybuzz.com will also work, but I’m with Google on this one… let’s move beyond the .com names. They’re not available, anyway.

A big shout-out to Studio Neat for sponsoring the first month! They took a risk on this project, and for that I’m appreciative. Since writing for free doesn’t pay the bills, this website will have a “pay writers first” methodology. When there’s money or products from advertisers, it’s going to writers first.

Finally, if you’d like to write for us, send me an email at mark at whsky.buzz to pitch your ideas. We plan to grow slowly, but we are looking forward to working with writers that are passionate about whisky and whisky culture. Topics of interest include whisky news, cocktails, bar reviews (from around the world), and other whisky culture related writing.

Cheers!
